Bathroom Remodeling By Implementing the Use of Solar Water Pumps

In today’s world, going “green” is a very popular choice. I recently did a little research on some of the ways that I could transform my home from a standard home to a green home. I was very impressed by the many different products available on the market that assist in eliminating waste and are known to have a positive impact on the environment. One of the most exciting products that I discovered was the solar powered water pumps. I had heard of solar power garden lights, and solar powered electricity by the use of wind turbines and the such, but I had never heard of solar water pumps!

Seeing that I have a large family, and we use a fair amount of water on a daily basis, this item immediately drew my interest. Between baths, showers, laundry, cleaning, cooking, and more, I could honestly say that a large percentage of our electrical costs were directly related to our water pump turning on and off so many times every single day. If I could find a way to save money on this expense, I could finally put back some money on our other home improvement projects. You see, we got a great price on a large home, but it was because so much work needed done to it. I figured the first project I should start on is bathroom remodeling because it is the smallest room, and I felt that it would be the most inexpensive task to conquer first. I did not realize, however, that I would be bathroom remodeling by implementing the use of a solar water pump, though!

The overall technology behind solar water pumps is absolutely amazing! First, there is a set of photovoltaic panels that helps fuel the energy from the sun to transform it into electricity. These are also referred to by many as “PV Panels”. Within each of these panels are small cells that are created by the use of silicon. This substance is used because it is so durable. Furthermore, it can properly withstand a multitude of weather conditions – hot, or cold. Seeing that I live in the south, it was really important to have materials that could tolerate the heat and humidity that we experience most of the year. Now, once you combine all of these elements, and set it up – it is able to produce electricity in the form of DC power, or “Direct Current”.

Seeing that we live in a large home, with a very deep well, it was important to find a solar water pump that would successfully fuel the water that we needed, as well as reach the water that we needed – when we needed it the most. I discovered that I would need what is referred to as a “submersible pump”. In addition to this, I would also require a controller switch for the pump. Basically, this switch would act as a toggle for the solar pump that I would install. It sort of promotes the pull of the water, and it also reduces the opportunity for the water to quit pulling when the light levels are low or non-existent outdoors. The last thing that I needed for this bathroom remodeling project (although it was for the entire home, I just started with the bathroom first) was a solar tracker. Basically, this device tracked the travel of the sun across the sky each day.

Once I had all of the items that I needed for the solar power watered pump, I simply installed the unit as per the instructions, and I soon had the power of the sun working for me! Our electric bill averaged right around $150.00 a month. This was before I implemented the use of the solar water pump when I started my bathroom remodeling project. Of course, it is a large home, and it takes a lot to provide electricity to everyone in the home, but I definitely wanted to get this cost down. Now, I am enjoying about a 30% reduction in my utility costs! True, it was a bit of an expense initially, but by the third month of use, it had already paid for itself TWICE! If you want to go green, and are wondering what home improvement project that you should pursue next, installing a solar power water pump may be your best choice!

Many homeowners choose to remodel their bathroom in one way or another. This room is frequented by many on a daily basis and is often found to be dull and drab. Unfortunately, many home improvement projects can be quite challenging. Furthermore, these projects can also be rather expensive. If you are searching for an easy bathroom remodeling project that is inexpensive to pursue, you may consider simply selecting new cabinets. In this article, I will share with you some simple steps on how to select the right cabinets for your bathroom remodeling project. If you want to make a change, and make it now, this is the right way to go about it.

When visiting your local home improvement store, it is likely that you will stand in awe at the many choices that you have when it comes to bathroom cabinets. There are numerous designs available, with a wide range of unique features. In addition to purchasing standard bathroom cabinets, you can even have cabinets uniquely designed and customized especially for your unique standards and specifications! There are so many choices, as a matter of fact, that you will find yourself literally spinning in choices! While many may seem appealing, the first thing that you should consider is overall functionality. Once you have found an item to have the necessary functionality, you should then move on to the visual appeal.

If you have a small bathroom, it is vital that you select bathroom cabinets that can provide you with the most space in the smallest rooms. If you have a small bathroom, and are limited on the amount of room that you have, I have a great suggestion on how to maximize the space that you DO have. You know that awkward little bathroom closet? Many individuals have literally transformed this space by using the right bathroom cabinets so that they could have more room than ever before! If you select the right cabinets, you can achieve this goal too! Many times, cabinets that sit along the inside walls of the bathroom closet are the most appropriate for this type of endeavor.

There are many different types of bathroom cabinets that actually sit along the inside of the shower. These units often sit along the top side of the shower, in the corners of the shower, and may even fit along the base of the outside of the shower. If you have limited space, or simply want to open the space that you have, choosing these types of cabinets and shelving units can be the right choice. When keeping this in mind, there are also many cabinets available that fit snugly behind toilets and over bathroom sinks as well. If it is space that you want, or space that you need, these types of shelves and cabinets can be a spectacular choice!

There are many bathroom cabinets that come with built in features. These features may include mirrors, toothbrush holders, medicine spaces, and even lighting. If you are in need of an item that is considered to be “multi-functional”, these types of cabinets may be a right match for you! When selecting the right cabinet, it is important to ensure that you consider what you really need and want. Multi-functional units are often considered to be the best choice in bathroom remodeling projects because of the fact that they can help you cover two or more needs at once, at approximately the same cost of standard cabinets that lack the features.

As you can see, there are many different types of bathroom cabinets available. These cabinets come in a wide range of styles, features, designs, shapes, and colors. When selecting these units, it is important to only select those that are appropriate for you and your space. You should achieve this task by taking into consideration what you want, as well as what you need. Functionality should be the ultimate basis for your choice when it comes to this particular bathroom remodeling project. If you base your choice on functionality, you are sure to make the best choice possible!
